BIO: The Athlete

Greg played quarterback, center field, and point guard in high school. Scouted by the Houston Astros and the Montreal Expos, and offered multiple football scholarships, Greg went on to play baseball at UC San Diego, then transferred schools and sports to join the football team at UC Berkeley.  After one year at Cal Berkeley, Greg signed a professional contract as starting quarterback of the Vienna Rangers, in the nascent American football league in Europe.

After returning to Cal and graduating, Greg developed his whole-body awareness by studying massage in Thailand and eventually becoming a certified Thai traditional medical massage therapist and also managing a vegan organic raw food cafe in Berkeley called "Raw Energy."

He also stayed in top shape, began competing in track and field events in his 30s, and even appeared in a Nike running commercial called "Wild Horses."

In his mid-40s, Greg began competing in Master's (age-group) track and field meets. At the U.S. National Championships in 2018, he placed fourth in the 100 meters and fifth in the 200 meters in his age category.
